Reel Prompter Privacy Policy

Reel Prompteris an iPhone app for recording short videos with a teleprompter, then trimming, captioning and exporting them for Reels, Shorts and TikTok. It is made by KGP Talkie Private Limited ("we"). This policy explains what data Reel Prompter handles and where that data goes.

1. We Collect No Data

Reel Prompter does not collect, store, or transmit your data to us. There is no Reel Prompter account and no Reel Prompter server. The app contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. Recording, the prompter, captions, looks and export all run on your iPhone.

2. Camera and Microphone

Reel Prompter uses the camera and microphone to record your takes and, with "Follow my voice" on, to hear where you are in the script. Your recordings are saved in the app's own storage on your iPhone and are never uploaded. They are also excluded from iCloud and computer backups, so deleting the app deletes them. Export or save to Photos anything you want to keep.

3. Speech Recognition

"Follow my voice" and automatic captions use Apple's speech recognition. When your language supports on-device recognition, your speech is processed entirely on your iPhone and never leaves it. If it does not, Apple's speech recognition service may process the audio on Apple's servers under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your audio or the transcript.

4. Your Face and Looks

To apply looks such as skin smoothing and lighting, Reel Prompter uses Apple's Vision framework on your iPhone to find your face and its outline in each video frame. Portrait mode uses Apple's Cinematic Video capture, which also runs on your iPhone. This face information is used only to draw the look on that frame. It is not stored, not sent anywhere, not shared with anyone, and never used to identify you or for advertising.

5. Scripts

Scripts you type or import from a file you pick are stored only on your iPhone. Reel Prompter reads only the files you choose to import.

6. Photos

Reel Prompter asks for add-only access to Photos so it can save the videos you export. It cannot see, read or change anything already in your photo library.

7. Sharing

A video, caption file or script leaves Reel Prompter only when you tap Share and choose where it goes. From then on, the app or service you picked handles it under its own privacy policy.

8. Purchases

Reel Prompter Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, email address or payment details. The app checks whether you have Pro with Apple's StoreKit on your iPhone. Apple gives us aggregate, anonymous sales figures, and app usage figures only if you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings.

9. Settings

Your preferences (prompter speed, text size, default looks and similar) are stored on your iPhone. Like other app settings, they may be included in your own iCloud or computer backup, which Apple and you control. They are never sent to us.

10. Children

Reel Prompter is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.

11. Deleting Your Data

You can delete any project, recording or script inside the app. Deleting Reel Prompter from your iPhone removes everything it stored. There is nothing for us to delete, because we hold nothing.

12. The App Store Privacy Label

Reel Prompter's App Store listing says Data Not Collected. Apple's label covers data that leaves your iPhone and reaches us or a third party. Everything Reel Prompter handles stays on your iPhone, so there is nothing to declare. If we ever add a cloud feature, such as cloud captions, it will be off by default, it will name the provider and ask you before anything is sent, and we will update this policy and the App Store label before it ships.

13. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
